Hobbies And Interests

My hobbies and interests are varied. I enjoy driving, seeing new places. I especially like finding places I've never been before and exploring around. I love going to the ocean, listening to the roaring of the waves, feeling the salt spray in my face, listening to the gulls over head as they glide on the wind, watching the fog as it rolls out on a cool, crisp summer morning.

I also love going to the mountains, looking up at the majestic towering red wood trees, marveling at their size, feeling their rough bark beneath my soft hands, listening to the quiet, straining to make out  the different sounds of all the creatures that call the woods their home.

Another of my hobbies is taking pictures of all the places I go. I have an Olympus Camera, which has served  me well over the last 3 years.  Lately I've been trying my hand at more artistic pictures, taking pictures at different angle, from different perspectives. That then brings us to another of my hobbies: Making Websites. I make them for myself, for my own personal pleasure. This is my newest attempt.

I guess my oldest hobby is writing. I've been writing poetry off and on for the last 35 years. Most of my early poems are just the musings of a silly teenager, and those I won't share with anyone. My newer stuff is written for children. Maybe someday I'll get something published, but even if I never do, I enjoy writing, just for the sheer joy it brings me.
