Eggnog

This is a favorite holiday treat which can be made as rich as you like by replacing all or part of the milk with cream.

In large saucepan, beat together eggs, sugar and salt. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and just coats a metal spoon.  Stir in vanilla and nutmeg. Cool quickly by setting pan in bowl of ice or cold water and stirring for a few minutes. Cover and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, several hours or overnight. Pour into bowl or pitcher. Fold in whipped cream and sprinkle with additional nutmeg, if desired.

Add Rum or Brandy to taste for adults.

Spiced Tea Mix

Yummy Slurpee

Pour 1 cup of the club soda into a blender. Add the sugar and Kool-Aid mix  Blend until all of the sugar is dissolved.
Add the crushed ice and blend on high speed until the drink is a slushy, smooth consistency, with no remaining chunks of ice.
Add the remaining club soda and blend briefly until mixed. You may have to stop the blender and use a long spoon to stir up the contents.
If necessary, put the blender into your freezer for 1/2-hour. This will help thicken it up. After 1/2-hour remove blender from freezer and, again, blend briefly to mix.

Makes one 32-ounce drink (or two 16-ouncers).
